Not often you see these Tipros with the alpha section at the bottom.

My daily driver is based on the same, with a 64-key modul attached on either side.
Spoiler:
And every single key (even the spacebar) is freely programmable.

That's probably not the same as the one on offer here, but rather the KMX version, where the CapsLock row is staggered by 0.5 instead of 0.25 unit.

Is it easy to replace cables ?

If so i want that !

Posted: 28 Aug 2015, 14:58
by kbdfr
Make your own cable by just removing the small plastic side at one end of a normal male/male PS/2 cable; this will be the keyboard-side end, the unchanged end being plugged into the computer.
Be aware you will need a 32-bit system in order to program the keyboard (but you will be able to use it on any system).
It has Cherry black switches, by the way.

Ahh so it has a ps2 port on it ?

Cool , will be going for one

Heh, it has a "PS/2" port on it. You'll find out!

(I wouldn't go for any Tipro that isn't USB. The software on the old ones also requires 32 bit Windows running native on old hardware. Not your Retina MacBook, or mine!)

It has a PS/2 port where you can plug in another keyboard, and a 8-pin port (where only the 6 contacts corresponding to a PS/2 cable are used but the 2 not used sit where the plastic tab would otherwise fit) for connection to the computer:

COOl!

Now i just need a small one to extend it for a number pad and to get out my roller mouse and i can be just like the Tiproman!

I have placed my number pad in the upper right corner of the main unit, as I prefer moving my hand upwards rather than sideways.
My configuration requires a 1u Backspace, though, but it didn't take very long to get used to it.

Only approx. 250 keys (more than 200 being used on a permanent basis).
How would you call that? A 150%?
