Am I really the only one to find Dr. Julian Bashir charming in DS9? I hear other nerds find him sinister. Shush, it's called being English! Picard would be awkward too, at a lower rank.

FFS Aaron Spelling morality play. I cringe every time I see a Star Trek clip posted on the Internet about something deep they learned from Picard or Data or whoever. It fucking means nothing. The whole light and easy morality play in a perfect world with perfect people was constructed for your demographics and light entertainment, in order to sell advertisements. It is not Cidade de Deus. Give me Kirk kissing and smacking an alien girl just because he can over that shit anytime please.

I will finish my rant by repeating that Riker is a wuss who was cloned from a Kirk mole.

Still, Riker was in the best sub plot of TNG. One of the rare moments where he didn't look like going through the motions while trying to remember how late it was when he was supposed to pick up the kids from school. Still outacted by Data. I side with the cat.

The original Kirk and Spock rule... the execrable simulacrums J.J. Abrams foisted upon us do not.
