Kint, this is NOT a LK401-clone, it's a LK201-clone ..
The LK201 is pretty much *The Mother* of all modern ANSI and ISO layouts .
The original LK201 was NOT a Rubber-dome-of-Hell board, it had VERY basic linear 'mechanical' switches ..
(We are talking the simplest and CHEAPEST way imaginable to make them, but(t) nonetheless.. )

THIS Cherry-made clone-board is THE BOMB !

If anybody has second thoughts, is unhappy with, well, whatever ..Or -
has any other problem related to giving up your hard-earned cash ;
I will be more than happy to pick up the tab ( and receive the board(s)! )
so 'dirge' doesn't end up with a problem ..

Yellowing is cured with hydrogen-peroxide
Permanently !

Okay, so I buy them all tomorrow. Take more photo's and if anyone changes their minds Peter can have them to tidy up the caps and sell to the Koreans.

Wouldn't mind that at all ..
But I would most likely keep them, the one I got is mint-condition
and the layout (and caps) kinda grow on a old-timer like me ..
Wouldn't mind using it, it can be made to work under Linux it seems .

It would make a nice teensy conversion, if that was the best way.

(need to pull my finger out with my teensy work..)

I didn't say the cherry 1306 is a LK401 clone.

When off quoted the pic of the very last board from this right buy, link: http://deskthority.net/marketplace-f11/ ... tml#p52193
I posted new found knowledge, since it seems to me that this (sole) board looks almost exactly like the LK401 boards I googled for. Now what the board off quoted the pic of really is - no clue, sorry. Just thought maybe someone wants to go from that information further on... :)

no clue either, that was what the 'mysterious' was for; since it shouldn't be the LK201 that's mentioned in the OP, since according to Dirge, no pic was taken of that one... IIUC ofc.

Still interested in keycaps only, as long as the modifiers, blank top row, and other unique keys are good I don't really care.

The one you were down for is photo'd bud, let me know if you still want it.

Okay, final straw before I go insane.

I'm going to get the 6 in like new condition and the two with slight water damage to the box. I think that makes most sence at this point.

Get them all, I'll take whatever is left ..

Give Lauren a call bud, the F8 one is still there as lysol wanted good keys and in the pictures they do look pretty abused and the yellow one. As you know what to expect with postage, it would be cheaper anyway really unless I could get a slightly better deal than her. She was going to put the remaining two on eBay today or tomorrow. I just thought given the condition they could be picked up cheaper than £15. I mean the F8 board and yellow are only going to appeal to a VERY small group of people. Wouldn't be surprised if they go for £5 personally. I've picked up plenty WYSE boards for £1 over the past few months. :)

that yellow one still looks *mysterious* ;)

I agree, it's just not the same as the rest, but at the moment I'm all keyboarded out! So would love to hear from someone else what they find it is.

So is the final list, myself, 7bit, kbdfr, ascaii, half-saint, frukstund, for the 6 then the two with damaged boxes and a little water stain to the boards I'm not sure what the call is on those? lysol was down for the F8 board which I don't think he wanted given it's condition so does that make it fossala and sixty for them?

I would put 20 GBP on the table for a set of 1306 Cherry caps, shipped to me in Germany. Don't need the board, don't care about a missing F8, shiny or yellowed keys. 25GBP for a full set.
I definitely won't rob anyones chance (!) this is just in case the board is a true leftover, would stay with the seller otherwise, etc.

I know I'm cheap, late, all that, just thought I'ld hate to see a leftover board on ebay again.

I'll just make a quick post here, as the PM said I should, and say I'm still interested in one of the fantastic six. Seems very much alright to me.

I'm quite sure Sixty wants one (he seems too busy to post).

Okay, I've got tracking information but I'm out of the office tomorrow to see olympic torch so will have these early next week.

Final list is myself, 7bit, kbdfr, ascaii, half-saint, frukstund, then fossala and sixty.

I'll post pictures of the boards when they arrive and sort out money / shipping next week. 7bit, Ascaii, kbdfr get any ebay.co.uk items you want so they can be put in the same box. Just need to find a box big enough!

They've arrived today, and well the living rooms a fucking nightmare.

Packaging was, pretty shit. so, well, all the boxes are pretty fucked. The boards themselves are all fine. The two that were "not the best" are fine, just a little dust really.

All but one of the boxes had water stains on them, I've had to bin a few of them they were that bad. The only one that was close to NIB, was so covered in packing tape it doesn't look like NIB.

At the end of the day however, the boards are fine and at first inspection unused, just some are a bit dusty.

I'll be in touch with ppl over pm soon, and start sending them out next week.

If there's one non-payer I'm back in the running (if I remember the queue correctly).

So, a fair chance ;)

Just leave it untouched and send it to me
I have used the method described here (but without the lighter) on several occasions.
Last time is just a few days ago, on a box I had received quite a long time ago but which is so unique and so coloured I had postponed removing the tape until I had gained enough experience with that method.
Plain success
