No but would mean you could do a round 4.1

for alps keys.
Also those mx switches must be lonley, they'd like a few boxes of Matias alps.
If you want to shift the switches quick, get a boat load of Korean springs and sell them as packs. Geekhackers would be alllll over them.

second this
need a good modern alps board

I am looking for alps too but I think this ic is for cherry mx.
Hou are you all making mark ups for these layouts? I would like to share some of my creativity if somone could show me how.
Thanks:-)

So control would be i dont know, 2.5 ( is there any 2.5?... think i saw somewhere big control key instead of win key ), little smaller than right-shift ( 2.75 i guess), and space 6u, that's how i got it on every keyboard.
With HYPERMINI you can do either with or without win keys.
So if you have that control key an a stabilizer then it should be fine.

Could look at wyse cap sizes to use. Massive spacebar action!

Just need to set up a new e-mail account and I've got to think out a new name.

Right!
C is for Cursor, because both come with dedicated cursor keys.

USD at an exchange rate of 1EUR=$1.3 like in the CherryMX group buy.

If there is enough demand, I can add ALPS. I think the only difference will be the mount holes and soldering places, plus the plates must be dedicated to the switches. Don't know if it would be possible to do an ALPS and Cherry compatible PCB.

I'm not sure if there is a 2.5 units key for DCS, but in SA-family they exist.
Why not just the usual 1.5+1+1.5+7+1.5+1+1.5 arrangement?

I'm pretty new on this, was looking for some small keyboard ( like poker ) and then come across custom made ones, and there is like zero ISO layout. Can work on ANSI too ( have it on my netbook ) but like ISO more.
So was thinking, I can solder, i can get switches, i can get some nice case and if i can buy pcb why not make one?

.
They come only with plate mounting option or can get pcb one also?

I want something like the Choc Mini in ISO layout!
I hope that is what you have in mind with that "third keyboard"

PCB-mount might not work out because there are 2 extra holes per switch needed which might interfere with other things like LED traces or so.

1.5, 4 and 6 units are possible. I can also do variants with 2 and 6.25 units.
Maybe I should set up a separate thread for this.

Still no matrix layout here
But I really like hyper/7bits style on the spacebar row as on the Phantom PCB.

Maybe we can do a matrix-layout with soldering points for vertical and horizontal traces next to each switch so you can cut it the way you like.
Would a 16x48 matrix sufficient?
