How do you guys go about buying from those Yahoo Japanese auctions? I tried to bid on a Nissho KB106DE that ended today sniping with Buyee and bid higher than the highest bid but I got an email from them saying my bid was cancelled on the seller's end. Not sure what might have gone wrong.

Interesting...
I've never had that problem myself and I use Buyee exclusively for Yahoo Auctions. I've seen that NISSHO board listed a bunch of times so I wonder if something fishy is going on there. Either that, or the seller has cottoned on to Buyee and has some objection to selling to filthy gaijin.
Did the email have any further info?

I emailed Buyee asking if the seller gave any reason for cancelling. They just told me that sellers on Yahoo Auctions Japan have the ability to choose who they wish to sell to and are allowed to cancel bids, usually doing so without giving a reason.
My guess is that you're probably right about not wanting to sell to foreigners. Maybe they've had some bad experience with us or proxies and it's just not worth the hassle to them.

Shame because the keycaps are dyesubs.

Siemens keycaps on switches, no RD, ISO-2530 bit-paired keyboard layout, typical for European non-office keyboards till the late 1980s.
Otherwise, this doesn't look as if it once was a Siemens device. Among engineering companies of that era, Siemens key modules were quite fashionable for making custom keyboards.

Austin Goodwill just posted a Model F XT. I'm going to pass this one on to all of you here. Maybe someone will get a nice deal.

Is it me or does it look like the numbers on the back of that XT are carved into the case?

Same guy that was posted a while back, came back with more stuff. I bought from him a Raptor K1 and a mx3000 lasered thick pbt nib, no problems.
