okay guys don't get too excited about typewriters

by "typewriter" I mean the first "computers" that were actually little more than typewriters

Ah! Then the name is obvious! MT3 Teletype.

Wordsmith is not bad, a little too generic prolly
Pro Type or Pro Typist is another option
nothing special anyway

MT3 Teletype does sound pretty good. It encapsulates the purpose of those early keyboards perfectly.

"tty" turns me on, marketing won't like it...
even better:

Then let's go all the way in: the
/dev/ttyMT3
or
/dev/mt3TTY
keyset

let's kill mt3. /dev/tty is the coolest keycap set name ever

../../../.mt3.tty

Heh

or maybe even more:
/dev/mt3/sa/pbt/tty - it's actually "readable"

SA?! SA?! Are you serious?!

Globbing may help "**/tty"

It sounds cool, but I would miss the "3" in it. Common, we gotta give credit where credit is due... and it's due to you, sir!

There should be a catchy name for the PROFILE and a nice name for the COLOR SCHEME
short 2-3 letter names for profiles are great. OEM, GMK, SA, DCS ... mt3 ?
and then a 1-2 word name for the color scheme ... carbon, pulse, hyperfuse, troubled minds, classic retro ... tty ?

yes, that would be the idea.
As of now I've been able to sell MT3 as profile name and /DEV/TTY as color scheme

How about the name of a terminal? Like
vt100, for example?
Somewhat related, would it be possible to have, as extras, a few "Vim" keys? By that, I mean that the keys h, j, k, l would have an arrow either above, or underneath, similar to these:
My point here is that a keyset oriented to "the past" could benefit from extras connected to the same theme.

this would be a not-final shot of the base kit
I still need to fix a few things. The colors are just to give you an idea.
I would like to add some novelty keys. "vim" keys sounds like a good idea. I was also thinking some retro flavored "INS MODE" and the like.
