So the money I sent for round 5A, has that already been sent to SP?

Yes.

Hey. I've never done a buy on here, and I'm not sure if 7bot got my order. I PMd it but should there be any confirmation?

You can just send garbage to the bot, and it will send you back an email with an invoice listing what you ordered (after some random amount of time).

Oh, ok I see it now. Thanks! So I assume we have to find a person to accept the money before I can pay for the order too? Sorry for being such a noob :-|

Just realized I just passed my one year anniversary from when I paid for these caps!

But I know it will be worth the wait.

I got the payment details in the mail from 7bot but my bank says I need an address to the collector. Anyone know the address? Tried to PM 7bit but no answer so far.

Or should I just wait and pay with Paypal/Google Wallet?

Hey guys, I'm really interested in finally joining a group buy for Round 5a but there's one thing holding me back: Will the tops of the keys be smooth like (as far as I can tell) Round 4 was, or textured like the original Honeywell keys? And could someone also confirm whether these are PBT or ABS? (I feel daft for asking that but I'm pretty sure the wiki page doesn't say)

As an aside, is there any chace that we could get a UK ISO 4 key with the alt-input euro €, as seen here? Image

They will be pleasantly smooth!
:ugeek:

About the Euro sign:
Not even the INTER kits have it!
:o

Excellent! Love the look of those smooth keys.

And I know, it pains me a little bit every time I see a UK kit without it. Any chance it could be added as a single key?

Code: Select all

HONEYB/UK/WHITE | | | 6| 12|USD|UK white kit
HONEYB/UK/GREY | 1| | 6| 12|USD|UK grey kit
HONEYB/UK/RED | 1| | 6| 12|USD|UK red kit
HONEYB/UK/BLACK | | | 6| 12|USD|UK black kit
HONEYB/UK/SPH | 3| | 6| 12|USD|UK grey kit
HONEYB/UK/BLUE | 2| | 6| 12|USD|UK blue kit
HONEYB/UK/VIOLETT | 1| | 6| 12|USD|UK violett kit
HONEYB/UK/CREAM | 2| | 6| 12|USD|UK cream kit
:o

Looking at this, I can see that it is more likely that there will be no UK kit than a Euro-sign in any other kit.

What's your MOQ on the UK kits? I was looking at picking up a white one which I'm guessing wouldn't help haha.

Edit: Also is the wiki page currently up to date with the available kits? There's some posts early on in this thread with ISO BASE kits that aren't on there, have they been removed?

Posted: 10 Jan 2015, 10:48
by 7bit
I will update the wiki.

If you want an up to date list, just ask the bot!

MOQ is surely not just 3 kits!
:-)

BTW:
There are still white and black UK kits available from Round 5!
:o

Hi again! Long time no key :D

Thanks SL89! Can I pay in hashbangs?

HONEYB/UK looks sad. Some of it looks like it's just me in fact.
There may still be leftovers of the white and black sets, but everything helps - particularly the colours that haven't been made before - red, blue, violett and cream. Aaah... I'll have to try to boost these a bit if I can.
Traditionally SP's MOQ was 25 but they can be more flexible. If the order is too low though the prices could go up! :|

I'm indifferent to the inclusion of the Euro symbol in the UK kit. I guess I'm used to the "vintage" look on keyboards from bygone days, though the Euro symbol is a great thing to have on a old fashioned looking SA board because it can make people go "HUH?? This looks like it was made in the '70s, how does it have the €?"
whitecitadel wrote: Maybe include a SORT key for Round5A? ;-)
Haha, yes please! Can we have this as one of the still undefined keys in the HONEYB/FUNCTION kit please, 7bit? whitecitadel, which row should it be?

Oh, and hey... would it be too much of a naughty thing to put a row 1 £/4/€ key in the FUNCTION kits? :o

What happened about round 4 replacements?

My replacements never came through the post. I figure round 5 is done and dusted now?

I still don't have those replacements.

Here is how Round 5a preorders are doing:

HONEYB/*/GREY might be possible with Round 5 overrun :o

HONEYB/*/WHITE might be possible with Round 5 overrun :o

HONEYB/*/RED might be possible with Round 5 overrun :o

HONEYB/*/BLACK might be possible with Round 5 overrun :o

HONEYB/*/SPH (grey keys and blue modifiers) looks good. :-)
HONEYB/*/BLUE (all blue) looks also good! :-)

These are so-so, but might make it. We still have time left. :-)
HONEYB/*/VIOLETT (cream and violett)
HONEYB/*/CREAM (cream)

Can I change my pre-order for HONEYB/TKL/CREAM to something like HONEY/TENKEYLESS/GRAPHITE from the leftovers if the CREAM set doesn't make it?

Also, I think you confused HONEYB/*/VIOLETT and HONEYB/*/CREAM in your description. VIOLETT are all-purple, whereas CREAM are purple/cream:

Same here, I hope the Cream TKL set makes it but I'd like either that GRAPHITE set or the SPH as a back up just in case.

When is the cutoff for MOQ anyway?

It is such a long time ago when I designed them, I could really not remember ...
:o

When I got the Round 5 keys, I give it a few more weeks. But I'm quite sure that those violett and cream keys will make it!

I'm more worried that they'll take another year to be produced :D

I would order violet and cream keycaps but I dont know if I will be alive in 100 years when they finally ship.
