Does that make this my first dyesub Cherry board?
Posted: 04 Dec 2015, 19:09
by guk
Yeah, if you swap the doubleshots for dyesubs.

Shit. I just realised my mistake and was about to hit edit!
Fuck this board, someone else can have it.

Sorry, too much practice replying to Seebarts posts. Also, prepare to spend 200+ for an ANSI dyesub set. Not worth it imho.
ISO UK ones occasionally turn up way cheaper, problem being that they might come with quite a bunch of baggage.

Not if you're lucky. If you're particularly lucky, it comes with extra added Russian legends.

Well, obviously. ^^ Wouldn't expect a to make a find like that on ebay, though. Your polish treasure cave is too difficult to navigate for me.

Well, like everyone else, I'm on the lookout for some classic Cherry dyesubs. Tips are welcome if anyone's looking for good µkarma. Just generally, no rush…
Not particularly concerned about the accompanying board! I don't plan to waste them on MX if I can help it.

No amount of µkarma is worth those precious, precious dyesubs..

Well, I know a guy who can hook you up with some French dyesubs...

French is fine. I like the inverted numrow and have nothing zgznst misplzed zlphzs. ISO is the bit that bothers me. French is as good as Anglaise.
So glad I don't have to go through this rigmarole on my Realforce! Over there, dyesub comes as standard. It's tall sphericals we shark about for instead…

NIB Olivetti WS 785
rubberdome?

seems to me like a rebranded WYSE, so I would say MX Blacks. Also doubleshot caps

but unfortunately it seems a terminal board

Posted: 04 Dec 2015, 22:59
by derzemel
wyse doubleshots usually have yellow arrows.
I would be wary and I would ask the seller first to pull a keycap

I'm now 100% sure it's a WYSE (same sticker/casing as mine)

Posted: 04 Dec 2015, 23:48
by Blaise170
I'm fairly sure that's a rubber dome WYSE.

I will be checking this personally tomorrow, then I can answer

I live near the seller
EDIT: I know for a fact that the 685 has mx blacks. As for this model, the 785, I will find out.

no need to, 100% sure it have blacks:
http://hardwareview.es/fujitsu-fsk-220- ... -y-review/
watch out as it's a terminal board, so it doesn't speak AT! the only way to go is a "Teensy (or micro pro, etc) + Soarer converter"!
