That was the same here... really hard to capture it without the keycaps becoming a ball of shiny light. Thats why I ended up taking pics in very low light.

By the way, we have been sent the OEM documentation today. It seems like they will be able to make 3 different keycap materials as well as full Cherry MX red boards after all! The OEM documents also list a more heavy version at 600g and the option for steel plate mounting. It seems very flexible!

They are discussing the price for the foreign market right now and will get back to us when there are news.

Price probably around $110. Have your ordered your own pallet yet with all the expensive options?

Note that those are the manufacturer's options, I don't know (yet) which switch types the KBC Poker will offer.

It's an IBM Model F terminal keyboard.

I like the threeway legs. Very neat.

I happen to have that particular F (5291-2?) lying in pieces in my basement, and the legs are fun to mess with. It's a lovely design, but I can't get the thing back together (Model F barrel plates...)

Back to the Poker, it would be super nice if caps lock became Fn and then use WASD for arrow keys. That would be killer as the they're right next to each other.

For the EU Authorities. Neither of these scales are used in illegal activities. I just like scales.

So after using the poker exclusively since getting it to review, I went back to a normal keyboard at work today. Suddenly the arrow keys feel really awkward and I am sad that my WASD is not working. Also page up/down feel weird now.

Overall this lets me conclude two things:

a) poker layout is pretty nice
b) humans adjust to stuff too fast, better keep swapping boards every day when you get one

I wish I could start my own keyboard site and get free sample keyboards.. But alas, people beat me to the punch.

The layout looks interesting. I may be in for a red one depending on keycaps with the GH group buy.

They should be. Imsto is currently holding a massorder for them over at geekhack. He lists red as available.

They look a bit rough, but they are straight from the factory.
