If we are lucky, someone else (like Diatec) lets them make, otherwise it is another ~$4000 for a new mold.
We already oaid/pay for 6.26. 7 units space bars and 1.5 units row 1. We will get 2.25, 2.75, 4.5 units and a doubleshotable JRET for free. This is not too bad considering that a few years ago we and SP thought there will be no way to have a full conventional keyboard covered with sphericals at all.
BTW:
I press the bottom row modifiers with my thumbs, so I'd even prefer them to be row 2. Row 4 would not be nice for me, so row 3 is the best compromise for everybody!

does 4000 USD represent a really big amount per order ?
i would gladly had somme dollars to get a perfect set.
edit : that's 0,16 USD per key order for the 25 000 MOQ

This key must be made in some other group buy.
Before there will be a 1.25 units row 4 key, I would add:
1.5 units hat cap, row 3
1 unit row 3 keys with extended height, so they are as tall as the rear or a row 1 key
2 unit row 3 keys with extended height, so they are as tall as the rear or a row 1 key, to fit on 2 switches
10 units space bar to fit on my Nixdorf keyboard that has awfully yellowed key caps
6 units space bar for G80-119xx keyboards etc.
5.5 units space bar to cover NoPoos

Extended height would be nice as flat function keycaps. But others aren't really universal needs... What is a hat cap?

Thanks 7bit! That's exactly what I wanted. Time to compute my options!

Ctrl, Alt, Caps Lock etc in the above picture are hat caps.
My list is what I would like to have. If others need other keys more urgent, just run a group buy.

That's really strange keycaps (really nice keyboard, i am also waiting for my first vintage board : IBM AT 84 keys), I like the look but it takes a lot of space for the same ergonomic feel of a 1 unit keycaps.
About running group buy, i tried once to start an interest check and i try to post link to your group buy on every french keyboard threads when you start them.
I found a real new passion for mechanical keyboards in France since 2/3 years, but it is still really hard for people to understand that good keycaps are almost as expensive as keyboards. And it is even harder for them to buy stuff without trying them or at least seeing them. So I think that group buy are really not for French. That's why I order extra Azerty set (i know Azerty is the worst layout but i love to keep tradition alive) to make it happens and i hope it wouldn't be too hard to sell them.

Hi guys. New around here and looking for some clarification.
The TKL base sets are labelled as not having a row 4. Is this accurate?
The numeric kits have row 1 symbols (awesome) but the ampersand is listed as row 3. Is it possible to make it row 1?
Would it be possible to include row 1 digits? I'm interested in single legend keys.
Also someone mentioned a sculptured ergodox kit. Is that in the works?
I may have more questions so thanks for any help and thanks for hosting this.

It would be an additional & in row 1.
The row 3
& belongs on the numpad below
+ and above
= (ie where on G80-2550 and alike is the Datenfreigabe or Enter key).
HONEY/ERGO and HONEY/ERGO/R3:

Just avoid the white keys, you'll be fine. Red yellows more gracefully!

It will take 128 years to wear them through!
Compare this to 16 years for DCS, 96 years for Cherry MX and 256 years for Honeywell key caps.

The real question is how long before your expensive caps get glossy!

They are glossy at the top quite soon, but that does not matter, because it adds to the nostalgic look!
Also, because they have a smooth surface, they don't look wrong when they get glossy at their top, contrary to keycaps with a rough texture (like DCS).

Can you please put "Minus" and "F12" in HONEY/FUNCTION/R1/RED?

Thanks for posting the ergodox kit. Very cool.

That would be very much appreciated if possible.
What about the TKL base kits? Do I need to buy R4 shifts separately?

There is a separate kit for F1-F12 keys and - is in NUMERIC kits.

Yes, they are with row 3 SHIFTs only.
Row 1
& added to all NUMERIC kits.

Do the full TKL kits have Row 4 SHIFTs?

Ordered a little more. Will pay it when next invoice comes.
I just saw that you have a order league. Funny that you say that you "wasted" money on things from your orders

.
I would put it like "spent". Because these things you don't waste money on

.
But maybe if you as my girlfriend...

davkol wrote:But that sticky feeling... I don't use Cherry DS because of it anymore. Decisions...
I'm more concern with the yellowing of whites that Muirium mentioned than the gloss, as the Honeywell is meant to gloss, for nostlagic sake. But yellow! Hmm... If I went with the black and red base, it's not Honeywell anymore!

- How many keys are there? 76, or 82?
- Do "alpha" keys have nubs/dishes on F/J positions?
- What would be the best way to combine the ErgoDox set and Colemak?
Unfortunately, I can't go through the whole thread. Please, if anyone can answer...
- Count them.
- Nope. Neither. He indicates those with outlines on the diagrams.
- what you see is what you get: blanks. For a version with legends, I would look at one of the other ErgoDox base sets and add the appropriate alphas.
Example:

Be sure to check all the keys you need. I don't Colemak, so I'm not fluent in its rows.
These are all on the (dazzlingly long) Wiki:

Hi, I notice HONEY/ERGOBASE are all row 3s. Any chance a base kit of HONEY/ERGO (and not HONEY/ERGO/R3) can be offered? I'm looking to combine that with HONEY/APLHA.. Thanks!

I've already put in an order and paid via PayPal, but now, I'm wondering:
Is there a way to buy additional keys so that I can switch L CAPS LOCK with L CTRL keys on a Filco TKL ANSI setup?
Essentially like a UNIX/hhkb format.
