The X Mark I Mouse is a three-button (including the scroll wheel), 1200 dpi laser mouse that has a number pad where the palm of your hand would gently rest during use. You'll also notice a 10 character LCD screen just above the keypad which gives away the device's third useful function - it's also a calculator.

Could probably do with some sort of keylock for when it is being used as a mouse...

It seems it does have a keylock function, "hold ON/ CA key while PC connected":

What would be cool would be something akin to the Apple Magic Trackpad, but with a OLED screen surface, allowing your pointing device to double as some sort of programmable keypad.

Instead, we have ourselves another Christmas stocking filler :P

Apple Magic Mouse? New Microsoft Touch Mouse? No OLED though. If it would be programmable you'd be able to define hotspots. Like the Fingerworks keyboards.

I'm certainly intend on keeping my eye on that Microsoft Touch Mouse. If it some figures out how to make decent, customizable Linux drivers, then it might just be worthy of acquisition.
