Best input device project 2015

Please suggest nominees for the Best input device project in 2015. This can be a self-build keyboard, a mod, a device, software, etc. You have to give a short motivation for each suggestion.
By voting in the third round of this category, you can

What I am proposing is not an input device per se, but a software, OptiKey, for people suffering from ALS/MND.
Usually, eye tracking software can be very costly, but the reddit user /u/YeahIWroteOptiKey has worked on one for 3.5 years and he has offered it for free:

The amount of work that went into it is patently ridiculous - designing, etching and drilling a pcb, cnc routing the plate and case, custom controller, and so on.
