So, an update to HHKB is available.
http://www.pfu.fujitsu.com/hhkeyboard/b ... ium=sns_fb
-no usb hub
-bluetooth
-charges with 2 AA batteries, that supposedly last up to 3 months
-micro usb for hooking the keyboard up via a cable
-new rubber bottom thingies to prevent slipping
Thoughts? If you take a look at the release dates of previous updated to HHKB line, this is not surprising at all.
Personally, I'll wait it out untill Type S BT. And personally, I'd like to see an update to a stock PBT space bar.

I think this will push a few people (me included) over the edge to buy a HHKB. But I'll wait first to see some reviews and how it does in daily use
Edit:

OMG... ¥29,700 = €250
yeah... I will wait a bit more then

If I don't have a HHKB, this is a no-brainer. But I do, and I cannot justify a price like that for a second one.

Wait... So this is a new HHKB!!! I thought they weren't going to make another one, and a Bluetooth model at that! Bluetooth hhkb's were a very requested model, so I foresee this selling like hotcakes.

Yeah it's a new HHKB and weirdly enough, people don't seem to be too terribly excited about it. I have to say I'm not too keen on the design of the battery holder myself either.

Yikes, that battery container looks hideous.

Jesus, it's 2016, why can't they stick a flat battery in the original case.

I suppose it wouldn't be too difficult to take the innards of the BT version, and stick it into a regular Pro 2 case, and then use another battery (some re-wiring would have to be done I suppose).

Not going to get one, but I'd prefer batteries that are easily replaceable and widely available, case design critique aside.

Yeah, my 15 year old Nokia feature phone has flat battery that is easily replaceable. So, it is still baffling why they didn't go with that. I suspect the AA battery is the reason.

As a devoted HHKB2 user the battery compartment is a joke...

There are a couple of unboxing videos on YouTube. In those, the battery compartment doesn't look ruin the looks that much IMO.

The PFU KB-620B is the one for me, but finding this thing is impossible to find. I had friends in Tokyo look up and down Yodibashi, Bic, LAB, none of the stores seem to carry it in stock. I am a traditional 60 percenter and the bloody thing would have been on an airplane today had we been able to source it. Any local stores in Taiwan, China, Korea, or Japan have one of these?

Would love to see pics with it removed...

I don't understand, whats KB-620B? Is it HHKB BT JP? You go here
http://www.pfu.fujitsu.com/hhkeyboard/bt/ and order it from any online store of your liking (use a shipping service if you don't live in Japan, like kenso.com or zenmarket.jp) and you'll get it in about a week, tops. You want it faster or what? I had no problems with delivery and I live in a shithole, there's even no UPS/DHL, only EMS, I still got it in a few days. Shipping costs just about $20.

Did you ever remove the domes from the PCB? The underside of the PCB looks quite different from any Topre I've ever seen.

Ofc, though I'd better glue them to the board, it's a huge PITA when it all falls apart, almost lost a couple of springs while swapping keyswitch boards. Springs and domes are the same as in Pro 2. PCB looks different (almost same mount points, so it's swappable if you cut a few pieces of plastic here and there, but different electronics, connectors and voltage), the circles are smaller, makes it way harder to center the domes.

That is one ugly pile of plastic
