Reminded me of the beginning of War Games.
I googled the code, but someone else might recognize it...

Yes, the beginning scene is a nod to War Games. The code and the alarm are a reference to another film

Cool review, the switch sound comparison was nice and the intro was really funny.

Is it just me that cannot tell the difference in sound between vintage black and nixdorf black ?
I honestly think that its not just the vintageness that improves them, i am almost convinced that heavy use in a clean environment improves all cherry switches.
My filco is quite old now ( in relative terms) and was one of the early batches of red switches however it was still scratchy ( new reds on the MX 6.0 are fucking terrible) when i got it ( but i did not know any better back then ), over time the heavy used keys WASD etc are far smoother than the less used Page Up and the like.
I have 2 more modern ( again all relative) wyse keyboards ( one came with a terminal attached and is used as such

) and the one on the terminal that had been for want of a better term raped all its life has super smooth keys ( modern blacks) ( lucky for me it was in one of them keyboard condoms its whole life so it was as clean as a whistle ).
So yes vintage and nixdorf are better , but its not just the plastic they are made of or the quality of the castings used. Long term use has something to do with it too.
But why bother with all that , when you can just buy gaterons that are brand new support RGB are super smooth and relatively cheap .
You let clones take your crown cherry .... pathetic. Well not that cherry ever had a crown imo , ALPS and IBM have always had the edge.

Thank you

Yes, they're quite similar. That just suggests they're roughly equally smooth, or at least equally friction-free.

This is one of your most entertaining reviews, almost Hollywoodesque.
Please do some more capricious Cherry based keyboard reviews because even though we are all drowning in Cherry keyboards, we do appreciate the rarer models being shown here.
Thanks again for displaying another 'Battleship Keyboard' which should be shown more here on DT Central.

That's the funny thing about Cherry MX. I think they're rather boring, but there are loads of incredibly fun and interesting boards they were put on xD .
