I have a Corsair STRAFE RGB with Cherry MX Silent - and maybe they are smoother (for me they feel just a tad lighter), but they dont sound better then MX Red. Especially with o-rings, the predominant sound becomes the traveling sound and its mainly "plasticy"-sound.

Agreed.

I like pinks better then reds, but their slider travel is not completely silent. I think you'd have to go with Hall Effect to really come close to achieving silent slider travel.

i had hoped for real innovation in areas where it really matters like uhhhhh for instance Switch feel.
Perhaps make my dream switch tactile like mx-clears but a bit lighter...

That's kinda true I guess, mainly of the "modding enthusiast" companies. It's like PC cases, which either look like they were designed by a committee of soulless accountants or by a 12 year old.

Anyway, Cherry MX did kinda disappoint me when I first actually had them in my hands, I guess they didn't quite live up to the hype... but they do the job, and there isn't a whole lot to improve on them I guess. I think if you want silent, there is no beating Topre anyway... and for the 'real, true click', I have high hopes for the plans of the Model F re-creation worked on over in the Workshop forum...
