The Battleship is quite a commitment, namely you commit 80% of your desk space to it xD . But it's an amazing board, well-worth it in my opinion

Back in the dark ages the F AT was so popular (and very expensive) because it was the only Model F out of the box that could be converted to USB easily with a PS/2 to USB adapter.

Sadly there is a long running joke about it; you don't buy a keyboard for the desk, you buy
the desk for the keyboard. And if you want to use a keyboard tray, there is none that can fit an F 122
and a mouse.

If the Tray fits the F122 and has space before it one can use an Rollermouse

I'm in the middle of cleaning and ANSI modding my F AT from this year's Secret Santa, so this video is quite timely.
Edit: IBM made one part that isn't UV safe in F ATs. The plastic used for the snap-out feet can yellow when exposed to sunlight.

Depends what you perceive as a "horrible ping". The ping my AT resonates is nothing compared to my NEC APC-H412 for example, but yes it does ping.
