There is a poll done about 2 years ago here on the age of each user. Check the search function you will be able to find it without needing to resurvey people
Edit: boom found it

I didn't even take the bait — first post is a poll with no explanation? Suspect! Where's my tin foil hat?

The questions are:
--Age group?
--How much would you be willing to spend on artisan keycaps?
--Are you currently in a relationship?
--How important is self expression/personalization?
--Are you currently attending a form of post secondary education?
--How would you rate the importance of your comuter in your daily life on a scale from 1-10?
All just copied from the survey. Seems like a bit of a weird range of questions, I'm kinda intrigued to know what the purpose of it is.

I love how the default reaction on /r/mk is "le maymay" and here it's just suspicion and scorn

Ohh getting closer to knowing the answer to why we are doing the survey

It's got nothing to do with /r/mk for me. 1st post and no intro to anything is just rude and or SPAM'ish. What does he /she /it (bot) expect?

I doubt the person is a bot or trying to be rude, but the tact was 404 not found

Hi there! Im the one who posted the survey! It was actually made and posted here in the last ten minutes of my business class so I wasnt able to give a proper explanation untill I got home. So I am currently doing a project for said class where we have to attempt to start our own business and give a survey to learn some more about our target demographic. I didnt have a lot of time to check any prior surveys and our teacher doesnt want us to use them anyway

Not using previous work is one thing, but doing some research would have helped you understand how to structure your own survey to yield much more meaningful results.
And, on this forum, the majority of users are mature adults, so school-related questions seem quaint.

I'd think you need to let your intentions be known, ask the right questions, listen to the community, and give back to the community. The last one can be done by using the forums poll feature so we can make use of the data as well.

Sorry, once again. I shouldve sone a bit more searching, but since I could not find a rule book or etiquette guide fod this specific site I was a bit unsure as to what may have been expected of me.
