In pictures of the G80-3800 prototype, the modifier keys on the bottom row had the same profile as the space bar. I am disappointed that they did not do this.
I like most of the things that they did with the legends: centring on nav, fn, num pad and bottom row, left-justifying on keys on the left and right-justifying on keys on the right. See especially the 2-unit wide num pad-0: the legend is aligned with the 7-4-1 column above it.
Using arrows for "Page↑" and "Page↓" are the standard in some national layouts already (German and Italian are the ones that come to mind).
But why lower case!?

Anywho... I still think the 3800 is wack. The metal-cased 3000 is a sure purchase.
