Looks like an updated version of the M570, which is quite nice. I like the addition of the tilt angle to reduce pronation.

From what I understand this is their first trackball product in seven years. Regarding that tilt mechanism I wonder how well that works in real life...

I was excited for a moment but it seems like they haven't done any improvements on the actual sensor!

I think you're right. To be honest I was suprised to see any kind of trackball product release!

Well they made it look like a really nice update to their trackball lineup. I am sure there things still sell - not nearly as good as mice do but there is still a market for them. Just a shame this looks like they took all the nice and expensive shit they developed for their 100€ mice and put it on a M570 re-shelling to justify their 100€ price point without improving the tackpoint at all.

I have a M570 here and the reason I dropped it quick was the pathetic DPI!

Looks like it yes. That tilt function looks interesting, I'll be watching the online tests for that. I'd never buy this though.

Looks good, I always wanted to have a Kensington Trackball for ergonomic purposes, once I tried it out it really noticed that I have hard times to get used to it. Now I endet up with an MX Master at home, really love it.

Logitech is still my favorite mouse manufacturer.

Logitech - in so many ways - is the Nokia of input devices to me!

It's been YEARS since they have last delivered a real innovation - they are mostly just upgrading and refining products they have developed a decade ago.

I have been a great fan of their products since the 90s, had several Winman joysticks including the infamous Wingman Warrior and their first gaming mouse as well as a good dozen of mice. To me it feels like they have just been refreshing their products with modernized internals for years and this Trackpoint Mouse is just a perfect example of that.

Their lack of delivering ONE central windows software for all of their input devices is just frustrating. Using a G502 (one of their few "innovative" products in a long time) on the same machine that also uses the MX Anywhere requires TWO different softwares installed. At some point I even had a third kind of Logitech software running to use my Logitech Cube (YES I got that too because I was hoping for an innovation ...)

The only reason they are still in the market is the lack of an "Apple" to devastate them ... and of course their amazing build quality. But competition from asia is not nearly as unambitious. Currently on my Ducky Secret which requires NO software for basic configuration and comes in a nice, solid design and a PBT shell.

But their HARMONY product line was also insanely neglected for years and has recently really been revolutionized by the introduction of the Harmony HUB ... so I still have hope!

It's been many years since I bought a Logitech product os I cannot say anything about the quality, they still have a name form back in the 1990's in the industry and are riding on that past success, to what degree I do not know. I imagine it must be quite difficult to deal with the competition from far-east let alone win maket shares in any segment. When this Logitech MX ERGO Wireless Trackball is out for sale I'll see if I can try it out at one of my larger electronics retailers, I'm curious to the quality build.

They've been selling THIS EXACT joystick for almost 15 years now and it is the only "standard" joystick they still stock:

Well joysticks have gotten pretty uncommon, not sure why but the gamepads took over with the consoles I guess? Last console I owned was a Sega Mega Drive in the late 1980's and even that had a gamepad.
