Mantistek GK2 keyboard incl. built-in Keylogger, sends data to China

The popular 104-key Mantistek GK2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard that costs around €49.66 has allegedly been caught silently recording everything you type on your keyboard and sending them to a server maintained by the Alibaba Group.

It only sends the count of how many times each key is pressed, and not the actual keys. It is still a violation of privacy, but not as bad as the clickbait headlines suggest.

It's still unclear. If you know how many times each key was pressed, it becomes a matter of how often it sends data to the server. If you sample frequently it's the same as logging keys. Even if you sample less frequently, you'd probably have a good shot at narrowing down passwords.

Strange why this becomes more dominant as a so-called news story, compared to the BIGGEST key-logging application devised and sold to newbs everywhere - Windows 10
.
That alone should be burned and destroyed due to it's constant recording and sending of data to foreign servers. Funny because it's linked to the NSA, CIA, etc, it becomes acceptable but freak out if a lowly keyboard from China, dares to send anything eastwards?

You can turn almost all of the windows 10 logging off tho , and they at least tell you about it.
Not saying its a good situation but it is what it is.

What you know about......right?
That was why Windows 10 was trying to gain entrance into China but they saw the gaping back doors present, hence Redmond had to re-design their filth for another delivery to mainland China, but has since still failed to gain acceptance.
Not saying the Chinese are above suspicion but when they see Windows 10 as a real threat to their security, makes you wonder why all the other nations are too scared to voice anything different.
