Hi,
I'm looking for a Tipro USB keyboard. Want something cheap and programmable.
Located in Europe would be better since I live In Belgium.
PM me :)

Matrix or staggered? MID or KMX?

Hi, thanks for your answer.
I like the full matrix Tipros (they look great with relegendable keycaps!) but the ones with the staggered keyboard on the bottom and matrix on top are cool too. I'm not sure which ones are the MID or KMX so I tried to describe what I wanted.

The one linked by CeeSA shows a KMX board, the photo below shows a (multi-unit) MID board.
They have different shapes and different internals (and exist both in different colours).
Be aware that staggered KMX units have a completely non-standard layout (all rows staggered by 0.5 units,
while MID boards have "just" two non-standard keys (fixed for me by CeeSA, by the way, thanks again  ).

While KMX units with USB controllers are quite common,
USB controllers for MID boards are utterly rare (I possibly still have one or two).

Spoiler:
(second time this morning I post that photo of my keyboard  )

Hi thank you so much for your answer!

I guess I'm looking for a matrix KMX then :)
I love that keyboard!
Btw, do you have any idea if they usually work well on Linux?
Thank you :)

Once programmed they should work on any OS.
