I've picked up a NEC Keyboard can anyone help to tell me what it's from.?

That's one beautiful keyboard. This reminds me of my Hitachi Basic Master Jr. Computer's keyboard module. Keycaps looks like it's the same type, and there is that ALPS 12KCXXXX code on the PCB. Maybe someone who knows better can shed light on these ALPS SKCC keyboards from Japan.
