when you make a keyboard controller that can handle a lot of keys, you need a lot of keys, so we built this monster…
@JP, do you own one of those?
Alright that's seriously one of the wackiest and coolest layouts I've ever seen.ddrfraser1 wrote: 17 Jul 2020, 17:06 I envisioned this satirical layout only to quickly find out it was not nearly as far fetched as I thought.![]()

Actually I do keyboard controllers (and other peripherals) as a business. Our latest controller has a 24 x 16 matrix. The design target was to put as many options into the controller as possible. They get used in industrial and special purpose keyboards. There are usually small volumes but lots of variants. We wanted to cover as much as possible with one standard designFindecanor wrote: 17 Jul 2020, 16:22 You mean you built that keyboard just to test your keyboard controller?
THERE IS A CLUB? Why did nobody tell me about the club?
I like my 384 keys!
Actually it is beyond impracticalWeezer wrote: 17 Jul 2020, 23:09 Is it hard to type over all those keys to reach the alphanumeric block?
Where's the "do" key?ddrfraser1 wrote: 17 Jul 2020, 17:06 I envisioned this satirical layout only to quickly find out it was not nearly as far fetched as I thought.![]()

We know.
Smart. Yeah, all that would be epic.Hak Foo wrote: 19 Jul 2020, 02:18 Why not the eight-way arrow block as seen on the FK-9000, some Omnikeys, the Gateway 2000 Anykey, etc?
Maybe even extend it 16-ways so we can finally have a "south by southwest" key (macro: down, down, left)
Also, after looking at way too much stereo equipment of a certain vintage, a prominent "QUARTZ LOCK" light is needed.
Both would be simple to do with the KeyWarrior100. There are 240 macros available with up to 31 keystrokes each. And there are 8 lock LEDs that can be assigned to show any lock state, including FN-lock. Quartz is not a standard lock status for USBHak Foo wrote: 19 Jul 2020, 02:18 Why not the eight-way arrow block as seen on the FK-9000, some Omnikeys, the Gateway 2000 Anykey, etc?
