Model M (rubber dome) overly sensitive keys

Hi everyone
so I got a new model m but it is a rubber dome one (sigh I know) and it works... sort of. In a nutshell a bunch of keys are so sensitive that they activate by "barely" touch them, no pressure, just barely touch them like a modern capacitive virtual button, any idea what is going on before I start disassembling it? Thank you!
