It really depends what you buy from there, an HHKB or realforce will probably be cheaper from Amazon since stock has been brought over to this country.Ok but you still gonna pay customs and tax, so it will be almost same as from amazon?
But for items such as keycap sets, you can save a good chunk of money by importing it. A good example of this being the HHKB key top sets.

Your Japanese ebays are Yahoo Auctions, Mercari and Rakuma where you're more likely to spot boards that are no longer produced e.g. Pro 1s, Hipros etc.
