I bought this for my mother

Sup!
I got tired of my mom calling me and whine about her computer was slow so I thought I could do her a favor, after all she gave birth to me
I built her a custom computer consisting of various mid-end pc-components.
Mainly i5 2500k, 8gb 1600mhz ddr3, gtx 560 Ti and a hella lot of gigabytez.
She used a laptop before, and as you all know a laptop is dead after a month, seriously, there is no power left after a month of 24/7 usage (she dont know that you acctually can turn of a computer)
Also got her a monitor, keyboard, mouse and some speakers.
damn imgur app only uploads in 1024 xD
The case
The reciever that provide the power
The right speaker, dont know why i didnt take any picture of the left one
RUBBER DOME! thinking of getting her a real keyboard so my fingers dont puke every time I help her find anything on the web
Thats about that, I felt really good after I got her this, I've never done anything like it before and it was really satisfying.
What about you guys?
Regards, phetto whom trying to contribute the best he can.

How does she like the keyboard?
My wife hates scissors and my iPad and uses a Unicomp SpaceSaver.
And she shouldn't doodle on her keyboard!
Upgrade to IMGUR Pro. Well worth it.

She thinks its beautiful, matching her mouse and webcam.
Worth to mention is that she writes with 2 fingers.
IMGurpro? Is it on appstore? Havent seen it on the Swedish market.

I did a similar thing for my family last year, having done several small upgrades so my brother could play games with me, last summer I bought some stuff and just gave them an overhaul, it does indeed feel good (although I can't afford it now, which is an issue since I want to buy them an SSD since the HDD is giving them some issues

)
And get your mum a proper keyboard

I came home over Christmas, having just found out about mechanicals and got my Ducky TKL, my brother laughed and said a keyboards a keyboard, by the end of the holiday (3 weeks) he asked me if he could buy it

That feeling!
The thing is, I could get her a real keyboard, if there was a wireless one in white or pink.

Why would it have to be wireless?
From the looks of that setup a wired one would be fine?

If you were refering "it" as the bitch I often call mom I guarantee you that her main duty is in the kitchen, but her chain is long enough so she can wash and iron clothes too.

I'm not so generous to give a new PC, but they get my old one whenever I upgrade. They don't really do much on it so having new fast hardware would make little difference really. They had the same Gateway P3 machine for like 12 years before I started giving my old ones. They didn't seem to notice difference, asides from complain about how 7 is different and confusing.

I implied it was nice and very generous by saying I am not as much. I tried to give mechanical keyboard once, a Cherry G80-11900 I modded with ergo clear and she demanded I put old 12 years rubber domes back... go figure. I should have made the same excuse when she asked to replace 7 with XP on the new computer, that it wouldn't work on it.
I saw someplace Ducky was going to release Shine in white and ISO layouts sometime soon, perhaps something to look for if true.

Thanks lysol.
Did you mod the keyboard just for her or did you have it modded before you gave it to her?

A white ducky shine would be nice

I wanted to try ergo clears so I made it, but didn't really like it and figured she would not like blacks so I just left it instead of put it back. She complained that it need too much pressure, but it was lighter than old crap domes board. I suppose I could have put the black stems back for ghetto reds but she didn't like my reds Poker much either. Oh well.
Saw pics of white body Shine from Computex, and it was tenkeyless too. Still had black keycap though, hope they make white for production model. Not sure what other national layouts will be available ISO yet. I have seen JIS shine for sale on tigerimports so can believe it is true since it has ISO style enter. No reason not to offer ISO boards if they make Japanese really.

You sure got a lot of Ikea stuff there, whait... you're from Sweden? Oh, nvm...
That PC beats my current "gaming rig" in almost every aspect, you should really show her some PC games.
Btw. Nice to see that you care about your mother, I got mine a Lenovo T510 a year ago.

I can't tell whether you are joking or not, but there
is a pink mechanical keyboard with
sort of Swedish layout: Webhallen sells a
pink Zowie Celeritas, which is a "full-sized" board with Cherry MX Brown switches, but it is only in
Nordic layout.
Edit: It is cheaper at
maxfps.se.
BTW, you could have done a lot worse with the scissor switch keyboard. At least it is not a Trust or Deltaco.
