Does anyone know what colours go to which pins of the PS/2 in a G80-3000? I think I have the older version of the PCB. I always thought the colours of the PS/2 were standardized but apparently they aren't. Could someone open theirs?

Best would be if someone in here has one with the old version of the PCB and could give me this:



How are these pins connected to the PCB? There are 5 solderingpoints. Labeled from top to bottom A-E. Could someone give me something like

1-A
2-B
3-D
4-C
5-E
6-not used

That was my first thought too, but I had a feeling he was needing to re-attach a cable and needed the pinning where the cable connected to the board. May be wrong on that mind.

Exactly. I got a PCB for a project that lacked the cable. It would have taken a long time to check which point on the pcb was clock and which was data etc.

On a second note, I got myself a PS/2 cable and will solder it now to verify that the board and controller works before I start destroying it.

ouch why destroy!?!? I've got an old olivetti case that could be scrubbed up for a 3000 if you needed it

I got the PCB for free (paid for shipping) and it has no switches, no case, no stabilizers etc. It is only a pcb, which I intend to use as a base for something. It is not like I am destroying a mint condition 3000 which is complete.
