Idiot decision, but it's not as bad as it sounds. There will be an appeal to a higher court, and it only constituted a particular case of pointing to an upload at a "private" url (i.e. an upload site where the uploads aren't published). Overall, the server is probably less secure in the US because of various new copyright and anti-terrorism laws in the past few years. It could be seized at will.

Is it the same in europe as in 'merica where the people making the laws typically don't understand the technology or its application/use?
