i need to complete the missing fields. back to the drawing board.

On that? That's a horrible keyboard. That's the sort of cheap rubbish that left me wondering year after year why all keyboards sucked …

for some unknown reason i could type forever in it.
not so much in this thing. maybe i'm more delicate as years have passed lol

No, there's a Mitsumi version (pictured) and what looks to be an SMK version, which is essentially identical from the outside. SMK version in the middle:

[wiki]Apple M0116[/wiki] is an Apple Alps keyboard, but I couldn't say for certain what you had.
My Mitsumi one is a horrible spongey dome board. Awful thing.

im wondering if the key caps on both versions (smk and alps) are the same.
and then a side by side view of both key caps (model m and apple) wouldn't hurt either. perhaps the caps are to be blamed for my refusal to use model m.

The SMK one appears to use Alps-compatible keycaps. IBM caps differ in shape significantly from Apple's, though.
