Re: Model F troubleshooting
My guess is that your spacebar wire needs to be bent even more, so much so that there is a 1mm or so gap for each of the 2 metal tabs between those tabs and the spacebar wire. I did not see a response indicating whether that was tried; my reading of your follow up reply indicates that you did not ...

Re: Model F troubleshooting
"Since there are no spare springs included, I could not replace them. That's the only suggestion I have not yet tried."
This is not accurate - the manual notes you can definitely switch out springs with other working springs to see if the issue is due to the spring itself, […]

Re: Model F troubleshooting
Thanks for the response. Just in case it wasn't clear, I have also read the manual page on the Model F keyboards site. I only gave specific time stamps to show that I indeed did watch the video. The manual was necessary as some springs fell out of their sockets during transport. I had to disassemble ...

Model F troubleshooting
I have received a Model F (a Classic Style F104 to be precise) last year, and I still have issues with sticky keys, in particular my right shift key and my space bar. Some days everything is working great, other days the right shift key gets stuck when pressed and the space bar either might stick or ...

Re: Numpad with non-Cherry switches
Are there any choices with switches other than Topre? It looks really nice, but with shipping to Japan I'd look at $160 (I checked, it isn't listed on amazon Japan).

Re: New keyboard, quiet mechanical?
I am in the same boat: first I had a Matias Tactile Pro, then a Model M. But now I am sharing my office with someone, so I had to get something quieter. I opted for the Matias Quiet Pro, which has very nice, tactile but extremely quiet keys. Matias also uses the switch in an ergonomic keyboard and ...

Re: Numpad with non-Cherry switches
Thanks for the recommendations, it seems that there are a few with Topre switches out there. We use macOS at home, but her work laptops are Windows machines.

Numpad with non-Cherry switches
First time poster here. I'm looking for recommendations for a good numpad, both new and vintage. My wife is mostly using a laptop at work, but I noticed she is relying on a crappy numpad to enter data. I'd like to get a nice numpad with a decent set of mechanical key switches.
