Re. scan time and bins, on my F77 the calibration seems to first put keys into two bins, but it notices they are so close that it moves all of the keys into one bin. That's pretty cool. Those blue keycaps especially are sick. I think this is going to be very difficult to convert to something a modern PC could understand, though. I can't imagine too many people have units like this, so I doubt anyone has done a conversion on one before, especially since it's a complete

QMK doesn’t have a clean “solenoid toggle” built in. You usually gotta set it up manually with a custom function in your keymap code. Kinda annoying they don’t just add it to the configurator.

Man, the fact that these tiny springs can just vanish into another dimension mid-repair is wild. :cry: Feels like every old keyboard hides at least one cursed piece like that.

The different flappers with the new barrels work - and just have a slightly different tone. I like it. I will definitely be keeping this setup. I'll see what the new flappers sound like on the older keyboard and let you know whenever I get that put back together.
