Finally got a spare moment to get everything working! Ordered an Adafruit programmer and put that together, built the toolchain and the tools to compile and flash the TMK firmware onto my Nerd60. It has lubed Clear switches with 62g springs.

Thanks to xauser for the keymap and helpful pointers ...

I couldn't bear losing that key left of 1, myself. Command + ` = cycle through app windows for me. I use it almost as much as Command + Tab for switching apps. Adapting to tilde on the right end of the number row on the HHKB was one of the harder things about that little board. I'd already trained ...

Hmm, the numrow legends look really wonky on your pics, rindorbrot. For example the 2 sits much lower than the 3 and the 7 and 8 look way smaller than the rest. Is that the case or is it just an optical illusion?

Though I don't want to derail the thread, it's already pages long so here goes... I think there are a bunch of things being mixed together here... My take:

* in the US you're more likely to find small operations especially for market niches like SP is filling.
* there aren't consistent quality ...

Had to occupy myself with some R3 blanks and 7x spacebar from SP :) Now I can solder double checking the placement of modifier and space bar switches too :)

++ That dot key is FORTY's star.

I almost ordered it for the dot, plus 150 tab and so on to get back to HHKB layout. :) But went back to HHKB.

Resorted to a funny table in google doc to figure out how many caps to cover each key to make sure I got em all... Trying to think through it all in my ...
