Help flashing commercial Soarer's Converter

Hi! I got an internal converter for my DC-2014, however that is going to take a bit. It's a magnificent piece of work so I wondered if I could get my soarer's to work. I read online that the 1.10 update actually got the DC-2014, and other odd XT protocols, to work--only issue is no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to flash the firmware properly. Every attempt I've had has been a bust, in scinfo, it'll claim the code version is 1.12, but the protocol version remains 1.00. Is it a bust and can't be changed, or is there perhaps some way I might be able to flash this? For reference i bought it from orihalcon

It’d help to know what exactly hasn’t worked already.

As I recall, that keyboard requires that a 5th "reset" wire be connected, in addition to the usual 4 wires.
