Ripster has done good work, no denying it.

If he really enjoyed his fame he might stir up controversy, get himself banned then keep stirring it up on other forums.

Wait...

I assume you mean >$20. If you really mean that syntax, you got some 'splainin' to do Lucy!

And we are up to Firefox 13. Get with the program. ;-)

What is happening with the pix of the insides of the adb-USB converter?

My bad! You all knew what i meant though, its been a long week for me i just had some surgery so i'm on some powerful medications, hence some errors.

It was a couple bucks for the keyboard, and i would love to be able to use it but i just don't want to spend that much money on a cord just to use it. I would rather find another use for it or find someone to buy it.

Can't we move all the ripster-talk to the off-topic-topic already? :?

Heck, maybe it warrants another topic.

Back on topic; I'm in that same boat, have a yet-to-be-tested AEKII here (and why the f did they rotate the F-row switches... now those caps won't fit without modifications on another board  ).
Thing is, spending $20 on the right converter might be the best way to go; getting a teensy, loading up that converter firmware from somewhere at geekhack, havin it working (after sacrificing an s-video cable for the 'adb'-plug); and if you don't dig it or are done with the board, still have a teensy that could be pretty much anything, like an XT-converter, or a custom keyboard controller.

Also: "And we are up to Firefox 13. Get with the program. ;-)" Screw that program!

Cool you recognized the logo. Office Space is pretty funny. And I used to live around where it was filmed so reminds me of those days. I lived only a few miles from where the exterior Initech shots were filmed and my wife worked at the next building over which looked identical.

Normal look as I remember it

And I used to work at companies very much like Initech so strikes a cord there.

And of course anyone who had to deal with old HP printers who remembers learning what the PC LOAD LETTER error meant. I actually still have one of these at home! Hey it's old but still works...

I have my old LaserJet 4 sitting right next to me at work. It's a little more yellowed these days, but it still works great.

LJ4 is what I have as well. Got it at an employee auction years ago. I bet they had some good keyboards at those auctions before I knew better, like maybe an SGI Granite. Oh well. They junked it because it jams when it gets down to a couple sheets of paper. It still does that a lot actually so I just try to keep the paper tray full and it works fine otherwise. A bit slow by todays standards but print quality is great and everything else works fine. Has the network card so makes it easy to put it wherever I want.

My parents bought the one I have about 15 years ago, I suppose. I inherited it from them last year I guess. I don't print much, so it worked well for me. My mom did a lot of graphics printing, so the memory has been jacked up (so it's pretty fast), and they also put the network card in as well. I replaced the exit rollers, and I haven't had any problems. I bought a Samsung color laser printer for home since my GF needs it for school, but I didn't want to get rid of the LJ4.

The paper jamming when it's low is probably fixable by replacing some roller but never checked into it since keeping the paper tray from running low isn't that difficult with the indicator on the tray. Looks like mine has a whopping 8MB of memory which is more than the base 2MB but less than the possible 26MB. A quick google shows there are 4 side accessible SIMM (yes SIMM not DIMM) slots. I'll have to take a look at what's in mine later, probably not worth trying to upgrade but maybe if it's easy and cheap.

I'm currently in possession of the keyboard, and I'll probably end up picking up a converter to make it work.
Since you have it that means you get to post more pictures of it!

Still not my penis.

It's all in your heads.

As for the "White Hand of Sauron"... I prefer not to speak of this. You see, me and Dicamus are college bros, he knows more about my personal life than he should.

BACK ON TOPIC MOTHERFUCKERS:

Dickamus, i think you should take some good pictures of the inside and outside of the keyboard!
