Granite uses Sindarin "Mode of Beleriand". The Grey Elves (Sindarin) that settled in Beleriand reformed their Tengwar alphabet. They eliminated most of the Tehtar marks, in their place they used additional Tengwar letters to represent vowel sounds. This reformed alphabet was referred to as the "Mode of Beleriand". Granite uses this mode because is what is used in the Door of Durin.

yes, granite has (imho) the best possible legend layout if you intend to actually write in sindarin with Dan's fonts.
