I advise the Lindy PS/2 to USB adapter, or the Targus PA075U if you like to throw more money at it. Not that I tried many of them. My i7 built in 2010 has PS/2 ports.

Lindy? That monkey guy had problems with that one.

To "fix" the Shift/Cursor bug it's simple.

Use Rshift.

Documented the Shift/Cursor bug here. Not a biggie. Rshift + Arrow combos are the ONLY logical way to do that movement.
