Right, of course, it was pretty spontaneous though, so I didn't think of that.

no problem!
keep being spontaneous

I do not want to create problems, also there would be too little time for check, prototyping or whatever, so forget it.
Thank you all

I'm afraid we will slip to September... but let's see how it goes these few more days

Indeed. I'll know more about what layers I want once Steely's steely plate turns up at my door. A taste of keyboards to come!

I already have gotten plate and case cut, in acrylic, so I'm not in a particular hurry to get a plate in metal. I might even expand to a full keyboard/case by September!

If this goes to september would it be possible to have my plates cut outside of the GB for a normal price? I really do need this for early august.

it won't be cheap, but can be done.

Zifle, Pasph, Broadmonkey: you guys ready for this? Between six of us, we're cutting a fair bit of metal.
We can do this!

I'll update the order list in a bit

you miss the sides, is that okay?

Hey matt3o,
is it possible to produce the upper bezel of a Filco MJ2 with your service?
Posted: 11 Jul 2013, 08:34
by matt3o
nope, only flat surfaces
Posted: 11 Jul 2013, 08:37
by hKing
... but the upper bezel is flat or have I misunterstood something?
I want to get something like this:

by matt3o
as you can see in the image, the bezel has sides. laser cut is 2D, if there's anything that goes in the Z axis, we can't do that.

Thanks matt3o, now I got it right!

Yes, that is intentional. I have the full case cut in acrylic, so I'd be mostly interested in a metal plate, and some added weight from the bottom. But as mentioned, if we have to wait out, that could change. Round 2?

let's see if we can make this happen by next week, if I get the quote Monday and everyone pays promptly maybe...

by photekq
I guarantee I will pay within 10 minutes of seeing that payment is due
If we could get this started by next week it'd be brilliant.

Is this still going on?
I'd need a plate and case for my mobapad but I also need help with designing

sure it's still going. give us some details about your board

This is final design
And I think I'll mount controller on plate, but I have to buy the controller first
Posted: 11 Jul 2013, 11:16
by photekq
Which controller will you be using?

If I'm going to mount it on a plate it's going to be this one:

"final design" is a bit of an understatement

I see there are some measurements but I can't read them all. try to draw a better schema

Sorry for bad picture, I took it with my old phone because I have to buy a new battery for my note. I'll try to take a better photo
Posted: 11 Jul 2013, 11:31

It's not so much the photo.. It just looks quite inaccurate. It would be better if you could do a very simple diagram on the computer

I will try. I'm also wondering how hard would it be to add something like this:
http://www.robotshop.com/eu/content/PDF ... et-512.pdf
And how hard would it be to programm it to be the chat wheel in dota 2

by matt3o
very easy actually. how do you activate the chat wheel on dota?
