Urgh don't remind me of that. I lost the plate and case files when my oldest hard drive died.
I still have to re-create it and build a complete keyboard :?

Personally I wouldn't waste the space in the top row.
If the case is bigger anyway why not at least use the space by adding some function/media/launch keys.

The top row will only be there if I build a version with a Raspberry Pi built in (hence, "power"). I will probably order a first prototype plate without that row, so I want to design my layers so that no other keys are really needed.

That said, here are a few more layouts that are kicking around in my head:
