Sorry for repeating myself, but no one answered with all the pirating discussion going around.
Could anyone answer the questions I had below? Thanks!

nightcracker wrote: I'll probably go for the MX-mini, but I still have a few questions.
1. What color is the acrylic case that comes with it? Is it transparent or?
2. What is the exact layout of the buttons? I've seen multiple 75% layouts out there, and I don't know which one it is:

3. If it's the first layout, does this mean I can just order keycaps from any standard place, like WASDkeyboards?
4. If I get the pcb, case and switches/keycaps, all I need is a USB cable and I'd be ready to go, right?
5. Is a plate recommended for the 75%? Does it change visuals in any way?

Being made in flash, it should work from any OS/flash-enabled-browser. However, if you want to make sure you can actually run that program *when* you want it (i.e. from your computer), you can try to make a locally saved copy of the bootMapper page. From Linux:
Code: Select all
$ mkdir keyboards
$ cd keyboards
$ wget -r -t 0 -k http://boot.winkeyless.kr/bootMapper/
$ chromium boot.winkeyless.kr/bootMapper/index.html

You install VirtualBox (it's free and it's a great piece of software), create a Virtual Machine, drop a Windows on it and you are free to go. Such a thing is handy for all sort of things, I have one for iPhone and iPad, and you need it only when you create the layout. It's a small sacrifice for a custom board
But maybe there is also a way to do it under Linux.

wasdkeyboards doesn't sell 1.75u shifts as far as I know. Actually I've never seen an OEM profile 1.75u shift.

Oh, yeah, you are right. Last time I checked they didn't have these. I think on the MX-MiniU you can either have a 7u or 6u spacebar, maybe even a 6.25u one. On the FaceU you can have a 6.25u one or a 7u one.

There was a cheap aluminium group buy organized from pexon - it's called the "60$ 60% case". Maybe not that high quality like from TEX, but a cheap aluminium case. You could try to get one, since a lot of people cancelled there orders - or just one big order was cancelled, if i remember correctly.
Also there's an acrylic 60% case from TEX right now at Massdrop. Also looks nice, but no aluminium.
