Did you even watch the video? That haptic keyboard is not the same thing as a keyboard where magnets provide the resistance in the key switch. Totally different. This is not.

I would not want to need to wear a glove with metal finger tips each time I want to type on my keyboard.

How about using Lenz's law? We either need to make the fingers more conductive or are back to the magnetic glove problem.

The guy's explanation sounds weird. I don't think you can magnetize copper like that, I think the magnet is just inducing current in the tube (not lengthwise but going in double-circles just above and below where the magnet is, and at the edges of the "window") and this current produces an EMF inside the tube which slows down the fall.

In any case, yeah, conductive fingers no thank you. But electrically charged fingers through ES induction, without wearing anything special on them, that might work.
