This time; a video a few of you knew was coming; a Cherry MY one! In addition to those black ones without the cable, I found a G81-3000 with one, so here it is! Hope you enjoy the video

Nice review, as usual! My impressions on both Cherry MY and MX Black are basically the same as yours: MX Black is a very uninspiring switch, and MY is just awful. I had rubber dome keyboards that were significantly better in terms of key feel.

This is the first time that I have actually heard someone type on a Cherry MY board, actually sounds really pretty nice!
Can't say I agree with you about MX blacks though, but still I think I will give MY a miss.

To each their own, of course. MX blacks are far from the worst linear switches I've tried; I just prefer linear Space Invaders, and I'm not that hot on the linear switches I've tried so far anyway. But I hope to find one I like someday!

The linear space invaders sound amazing (in both the typing sound and the description of them from your review), I would love to try those myself someday.

Fortunately for you, any Space Invaders clicky board can be converted to linear by removing the follower arm from the inside of every key switch. The modification is reversible though it is more tedious to put them back in!

I suspect the softness of the sound is due to the brick-like construction of that particular board, I'm sure my RT-8255 wouldn't sound the same. Still, the design of the switch lends itself to a nice, soft sound
