Hah, I use a black one of these in my garage for looking up stuff or making notes. Just plug it into my laptop out of the way so I can throw tools around and not worry about getting grease/oil on it.
You're spot on about the awful mushy-boob feeling. I'd probably have purple fingertips after a week of using this!

hahaha thx for sharing ..i remembered i had one of these flexible keyboards i got on with my t-mobile saving points a while back..
i used once of twice to configure a samba share on my media center.
Afterwards i rolled it up and put in my remote control draw... so today i took it out for a test run..
As soon as i hooked it up to my mac , i got the popup "pres the key to the right and left from shift" and it didn't recognise it hahahah ...
Also the letter S stopped working and one of the numbers also stopped working..
So time to grab a knife and so sum digging and see the internals..
At least the usb cable seems to be default one so i'l keep that the rest will go in the trash..
