One of those "mechanical feel" keyboards, this one is quite nice in several ways. Hope you enjoy the video :) .

I have an ADB board from the same OEM with MX mount sliders and individual domes instead of a mat. The caps are pad printed by the looks of it. They're not too shabby!

Those keycaps seem rather Tai-Hao like, which is curious because so are the double-shot keycaps on the unidentified [wiki]Tulip 9151B[/wiki], and the Tulip 9151B has what appears to be identical sliders.

I'm guessing that Jing Mold—whose registered the Tulip 9151B with the FCC—are more likely to be the OEM (from their name, I guess they moulded the shell and sliders and assembled the keyboards using parts from other suppliers), with QTronix being the customer here, not the manufacturer.

Nice review. Good rubber dome boards are definitely under appreciated. I just can't get by how cheap the Qtronix looks in both style and materials.

I love the bucket of feet! :D

The sliders on the Tulip are completely different (I've had three). They also don't feel the same at all, though the Tulip ones aren't bad either.

I found one of these at the recycling center once and swore it had to be some sort of hybrid membrane, they really do feel quite good.

Agree. If you genuinely like old keyboards you just can't have the stigma that all domed boards are unconditionally bad.

It just means you are a TRUE keyboard fanatic and appreciate all of the input technologies no matter the current, popular trends of keyboards.

Even though I have collected lots of 'Thorpies' my still fave keyboard to use is an old IBM rubber dome keyboard with a PS/2 connection. It has drink spilled upon it, dropped numerous times on the floor and the 'midgets' have time and again removed the key caps on it, throwing them around the house.

Yet that old keyboard just keeps on working.

Wondering what you think of a Olivetti ANK 25/27 as a rubber dome...
