Hi, I'm looking to buy a Monterey K104 in at least somewhat of a good condition. I'm willing to pay $50-$60.

Not necessarily for White Alps.
I got a K104 with white Alps for $40 shipped last year, granted it was in awful condition, but I bet with some patience one could find one in a bit better condition for around $60-70. Blue Alps, yeah, you better at least triple that number though.

Agreed, I bought a couple of these with white SKCM in the last year or so for about $50 each, shipped.ZedTheMan wrote: 16 Feb 2019, 21:06

Be aware that the K104 production spanned some internal changes in Pine white SKCM switches which greatly affect the feel and sound. Also the earlier versions had double shot caps, while later ones were pad printed. The caps apparently changed before the switches did. I had an early white SKCM K104 with printed caps that I used as my driver for ten years or so, until I wore the legends off the caps. Still works flawlessly.
