I'm actually getting it. Turns out it probably has green ALPS. I wonder if / what it will output using a serial plug adapter...Keybug wrote: 16 Jul 2019, 20:28 Probably the only keyboard (okay, keypad) ever to feature an "Anal" key...

You should program it to output "…ysis" whenever pressed, to troll dirty-minded users.

Lot of 4 untested IBM SSK 2s (dome over membrane). Only $150, not bad if you like the format but don't mind the dome over membrane business.

The "bidder" shown as e***a (144) in the bid history is or has been bidding, as the details of his own bid history reveals, on multiple articles of the same seller in many different categories:
- the keyboard, of course, but also
- doll furniture

- Playmobil 2
- Playmobil 3
- Playmobil 4
- Book
- Book
- Toy, which had been listed before where he had been the highest bidder
- Toy train part where he was the highest bidder but then the item was listed again
- Atari console

Oh, and his feedback also reveals a Commodore Amiga 500
Well, the bidders list shows obvious shill-bidding.

Same seller initially listed a bunch of M122 and F122 keyboards, all at the same price. Perhaps the guy just doesn't know better.
Never mind, it was another doofus.

The latter does indeed look like a space invader board. The twin coloured numpad legends suggest it’s a nice early style one, like mine.

Really wouldn't mind a space invaders board in good condition, preferably linear. I tried linearising mine but ended up destroying several switches. -.-Muirium wrote: 26 Jul 2019, 14:47 The latter does indeed look like a space invader board. Leave them clickies alone!
Space invaders are middling-rare, and no one’s making them any more. Leave those succulent clicky blacks to those of us who appreciate them in their natural state!
Far as I’m concerned, they’re the best clicky modular switch ever made, blue Alps included. They’re more umami, more savoury, more filling.

I wouldn't have attempted the mod if it wasn't for the switches being scratchy. It doesn't help when the switches are heavy to begin with.Muirium wrote: 26 Jul 2019, 17:13 Leave them clickies alone!

It's a rather normal (rebranded) Unicomp M122. I bet that the "glittery" keycaps have a rather prosaic origin, like "Something fell into the plastic while we were molding the caps and afterwards didn't bother discarding that batch."

All the black M122's I sold a while back had the glitter in them as well, though I didn't really list it as a selling point because you really have to be looking at it right in order to see it. I still have a couple of those M122's I believe if anyone wants one, or just the caps for a more reasonable price.

I thought it was some kind of distasteful custom keycap set.orihalcon wrote: 28 Jul 2019, 23:45 All the black M122's I sold a while back had the glitter in them as well, though I didn't really list it as a selling point because you really have to be looking at it right in order to see it.
