While sound pressure measurement can give you an idea of how loud something is, it doesn't tell the whole truth about how the sound is perceived. You'd have to take into consideration the frequency distribution too because the frequency response of the human ear isn't flat, and then there are individual preferences on top of that. For instance, I can listen to white Alps forever, whereas MX blues are just getting to my nerves before long.

Agreed - thanks for the video. The dB readings are all pretty close: the difference, as ollir mentioned, is the frequencies. The switches in your video got progressively higher pitched: blue alps was lowest, then white alps, then Cherry Blue and the Clickbars (feasible 60s band). It's all about the bass.
