Ah, agreed. Friend of mine has it, not pleasant for browsing.

NIce review! I have been spoilt by the scroll wheel on the MX revolution so now all other mice feel pants!

After almost two years of daily usage the middle mouse button (under scroll wheel) is having issues on *both* of the two I have. The button has to be pressed very hard to register. Hard to believe in pure coincidence...

On all my Logitech mice/trackballs, the buttons were the first to go after 1 to 2 years.

Fuck planned obsolescence... Any recommendation for a better alternative?

It's a combination of cheap micro switches and bending plastic pressing down on them, both can go wrong... probably most mice have those.

i had a logitech mouse (can't identify it anymore) that lasted 5+ years, just now gave it to my gf because her mouse broke down and i got myself a m570.

i like the m570, it's overpriced compared to mice but i guess it's hard to sell thumb trackballs (tho the price could be lower...) - so that might rectify it. the case's ergonomic feel is really nice; i would prefer a real third mouse button instead of a scrollwheel switch (they're *always* shitty to use); the on/off key on the bottom is pretty pointless and annoying to use (it could just turn off without wakeup when you put the reciever in the battery casing); i kind-of expected metal bearings and a protective thingy over the laser; having a "forward" button seems useless to me - at least i didn't find a reasonable use for it yet; not sure how the battery led works... oh and the battery time is nice :)

though that sounds like alot of bad points i still like it very much - hope it lasts as long as my mouse did :)

the bad thing is that every time fellow students try to use my system they try to move the "mouse" and are like wtf-is-this-thing >o> kinda awkward...

wellp, that's my few cents about it.

Nose oil. Great for lubricating track balls, doesn't attract dust as bad as other oils..

(actually, it is more of a wax)

If you are a fly fisherman, you know the pain of trying to take down or set up a long, limber rod in the cold of a Laurentian Upland fall or winter. Just rub the mail end of the rod joints in the crevice of your nose, and it will go more smoothly .
