Hey guys,
I recently purchased a G80-8113LRAUS with PS/2, and a member here sent me a USB controller to swap out. I found out that it's going to require a little soldering. The difficulty is the connectors are a little different, and I'm wondering if someone here can help me sort this out.
Here are the images:

Basically the old board (currently connected) has three wires connected: LS2, LS4, and an unlabeled white cable.
The new board has one wire connected (LS2), but it also has other spots to connect (LS4, etc).
Does anyone know what LS2,LS4 and the white cable actually do? Do I need all of them?

So, a little more info (and another cry for help). I figured out the PS/2 connector has a cable that connects to the top of the keyboard ( https://snt002.mail.live.com/default.as ... 892%212513 ) but the USB one has no cable going there.
It might be possible it needs to be wired to these 8 open holes on the middle of the USB controller ( https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=0DF488E3 ... 892%212509 ) ? But in what order? Will that work?

I am going to guess at what is happened. There is more than one pcb revision for 8113, with completely different matrix. I am guess you have the old revision. Not sure if that is going to work well even with lot of effort to rewire things. I will send you new revision pcb if you want it, and you can exchange the switches to it.

newer revision on top, old one on bottom

closer of the matrix breakout to connect to controller pcb new

closer of the matrix breakout to connect to controller pcb old
In case you don't want the other pcb, some photos that might help some of the more experienced give some guidance.

I can confirm that there are multiple revisions of the POS board PCBs as I have disassembled a few dozen of them. But from what I can tell it hasn't been old vs new, but the A B C D in the third letter of the model number.
EDIT: Is that a 7000 controller you are trying to put in the 8113?
