not all,
the shift keys, enter and the one above enter.
and you`ll notice, that the ansi layout has 104/101 while the iso has 105/102 keys

What he said. The easiest option may be to get a set of stickers to put over your US keys.

Even then, you will not have the one extra key between left shift and American-Z, which is inconsequential on some European layouts and sort of important on others.

Alternately, you could have WASD make you a custom set of keycaps for your new layout... they've just introduced a new lasering process which is more traditional rather than the previous laser etching.

TheKeyboardCo sell (US)ANSI keycaps for the filco as well as (UK)ISO.

1: Sell ANSI board
2: Buy ISO board

You'll lose around €50 or so due to depreciation and shipping.

You could always go for blank keycaps.

I'm using a keyboard with the ANSI layout even though I'm using the Swedish layout in Windows. I find the placements of the keys much better (like the button above the enter key).

When I'm coding I always change to the American layout anyway, as I find them better to code with, even though I'm used to the placements on the Swedish layout (as I'm usually using the Swedish layout when I'm not coding).

The only thing I miss when I'm using an ANSI layout is the key to the left of Z, but I usually just switch between the two languages with Shift + Alt if I want to use ">|<".

So all in all, I'm happy to use an ANSI keyboard with a European layout in Windows.

ISTR that when I hacked up my Filco that the pads for the add'l switches for UK ISO layout were present.

I do not know if the controller is the same or different, e.g. if you just got one new switch and moved the enter and backslash/pipe if it would work or if you'd need to change anything else as well. Since I had an ANSI board and prefer the ANSI layout, I just shrugged and thought "that's interesting" and kept on soldering.
