I remap capslock to control they way it should be. I use sharpkeys to create the registry hack for me (Win7)
Freaking webroot which is an amazing antivirus btw undoes this mapping sporadically. One key press might be control, the next might be capslock. I've verified it's webroot by uninstalling/reinstalling.
Anyone else have this issue with an AV solution? I might go back to Sophos.
Webroot unmaps my remaps

yhow about configuring? tell it 'hands off' regarding the keyboard layout reg folder?
*edit: ey wait, you're saying it just fucks up the registering/remapping on the fly, not like it de-maps it from your registry..
then it's probably got a module 'protecting' your input from either being logged or remapped- either way, set the sucker up.

Thanks, I assumed it was not a setting I could manipulate but webroot has a ton of configuration options. I actually found a USB heuristics scanning that I was able to disable. So far so good, will see what it does. Sometimes it works fine for a day then back to not working. It's not keyboard dependent either.
